Mutual aid society founded in New York. Society was the successor, in 1917, of the Brooklyn City Lodge, No. 118, Order B'rith Abraham (O.B.A.). The Order B'rith Abraham was founded in 1859 and reconstructed in 1888. Its motto was "Harmony, Wisdom, and Justice." It functioned, with many branches across the United States, as a fraternal organization. Provided sick benefits, medical, and financial aid to members, and endowment and monetary compensation to widow and offspring of deceased member. Maintained burial grounds. Covered burial expenses. Provided for educational expenses of deceased member's offspring. Functioned as a burial society. Society used the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Queens, NY.
