Administrative/Biographical History
Organized in New York in 1914 by immigrants from Zhashkov, Ukraine. Activities included the establishment of a free loan fund for its members. The Zashkover Ladies Auxiliary was founded in 1923. Its presidents were appointed by the Zashkover K.U.V. Provided relief for *landslayt* after World War I and World War II. Supported institutions in Israel. Maintained contact with the Zashkover U.V. and Ladies Auxiliary of Philadelphia and with the Zashkover Aid Society of Boston.
