Administrative/Biographical History
Founded in 1912 in New York by immigrants from Pilzno (Pilzne) in the Austro-Hungarian Empire (today, Poland). Also known as the Pilzner Benevolent Association and the First Pilzner Social Benevolent Association. The society provided sick and death benefits, purchased graves, and functioned as a burial society. It also contributed to charity and the support of Israel. It used three cemeteries: Montefiore, New Montefiore, and Mount Moriah.
