Founded in New York on December 23, 1903, by immigrants from Kishinev (Chisinau, Keshenev, Keshinov, Khisinau, Kiszyniow), in the Russian Empire. Incorporated in 1913. Alternately known as the Kishineff Sick Benevolent Society and the Kishinever Benevolent Association. Provided compensation fund, sick, death, and Shivah benefits. Donated $10,000 to old age home. Supported local institutions. Maintained cemetery plots. Functioned as a burial society. Society used the United Hebrew, Mt. Zion, and Mt. Hebron cemeteries in Staten Island and Queens, NY.
