Rev. Ringel was born in New York City on December 16, 1896. Received intensive Jewish education until he was 16 years of age. Sang alto in Cantors Cooper, a choir in Pike Street synagogue and in Karniol, at the Forsyth Street Shul, where he became acquainted with traditional Chazzanuth. First position as Cantor was at Zion Hebrew Institute (Bronx, NY), then at Washington Heights Congregation of New York. In 1937 he was occupying the position of Cantor at Congregation Shaare Torah (Brooklyn, NY). In 1944 he became Cantor of the Jacob Schiff Center (Bronx, NY). Died in 1962
