Administrative/Biographical History
Jewish communal activist. Following the outbreak of World War I, he joined the Jewish Legion (also known as the Jewish Battalion and as the Hagdud Haivri) of the British Royal Fusiliers. After the war was active in Jewish communal life in Boro Park, Brooklyn. He was chairman of the Yehuda Halevi Branch of the Labor Zionist Farband and was active in the B'nai David Family Circle. Born in Warsaw in 1901. Settled in New York in 1913. He died in 1968.
