Administrative/Biographical History
Born in Chigirin, Ukraine, in 1892. Studied art in New York and Paris. Principal stage and costume designer for the Artef theater in 1928-1939. He was also a painter and had numerous exhibits in the United States and abroad. Also designed stage sets and constumes for many other performances up until his death. Lived in Los Angeles for many years. Died in 1970 in Maine
