Administrative/Biographical History
Popular U.S. actress. Performed in Yiddish and English. Played in Kessler's Theater as well as in many other groups. In 1935, toured in a vaudeville show together with her husband Jacob Kalich. From 1942 managed the Molly Picon Theater in N.Y. After World War II, visited displaced persons camps and went on tours in Australia, South Africa and Europe. In the 1960s she played on the English stage and appeared on television and in films.
