Yiddish writer, bibliographer. Contributed to *Morgn frayhayt* (N.Y.), *Der tog* (N.Y.), ICOR (N.Y.), *Naye lebn* (N.Y.), *Zukunft* (N.Y.). Member of the faculty of the Institute for Jewish Proletarian Culture at the Ukrainian Academy of Science, Kiev, 1933-1935. Compiled a bibliography of Yiddish literature in the Soviet Union. Author of *Sovietishe harugay malkhus* (Martyrs of the Soviet Regime), YIVO, Buenos Aires, 1962. Used pen names Yehoshua Grodner and P. Aleksander. Born in Grodno, Byelorussia. Immigrated to the U.S. in 1921. Lived in the Soviet Union from 1933-1935.
