Brief Description: The collection consists of tapes and record albums of Jewish music made by Ruth Rubin as part of her research in Yiddish musical folklore.  The songs are sung by informants in New York, Montreal, Toronto, London.  Song types include: hasidic, ballads, children's songs, lullabies, drinking songs, dances, riddles, love songs, humorous songs, anti-hasidic songs, songs about poverty, work, Zionism.
